How CallBolt works
Updated September 2026
Three steps: connect your number, teach Sky your business, go live. Nothing goes live until you approve it in the console.
How do I connect my phone number?
You keep your number. Your existing business line points at Sky and your customers keep calling the number they know. If you want new numbers for a campaign or a department, those are set up for you, with registration and caller-ID reputation handled.
How does Sky learn my business?
From what you give it. Your documents, menus, availability, policies and FAQs teach Sky your tone and your rules, and your booking, ticketing or CRM system connects so Sky can look things up and act during the call. You also set the handoff rules: when a person should decide, a person gets the call with full context.
What happens when we go live?
Sky starts answering on the first ring, 24/7, after you approve it. Nothing goes live until the operator approves it in the CallBolt console. From there you watch every conversation, the resolution rate and the callbacks live.
What does each side provide?
| Step | What you provide | What Sky does |
|---|---|---|
| Connect your number | Your existing line, or a need for new numbers | Answers it on the first ring, registration and caller-ID reputation handled |
| Teach Sky your business | Docs, menus, availability, policies, FAQs, system access | Learns your tone and rules, connects your booking, ticketing or CRM system |
| Go live | Your approval in the console | Answers 24/7, every action on the audit trail, live numbers in the console |
What does CallBolt not do here?
There is no self-serve, card-and-go signup. The plan is scoped with the team so the agent runs your workflows correctly from day one, and that scoping conversation usually comes back within one business day.
Where Sky fits after go-live is on the AI customer support agent page, and the plan shape is on CallBolt pricing.
Frequently asked questions
Do we need new phone numbers?
No. Your existing business line points at Sky, and nothing about your carrier changes. If you want fresh numbers for new campaigns or departments, those can be set up with registration and caller-ID reputation handled for you.
What do we have to write or provide?
Your documents, menus, availability, policies and FAQs, plus access to your booking, ticketing or CRM system. Sky learns your tone and your rules from what you give it, including when to hand off to a human.
Who approves the agent before customers hear it?
You do. Nothing goes live until the operator approves it in the CallBolt console, and every action after that is written to an audit trail you can open, filter and export.
How long until Sky is answering?
The engagement is scoped with the team rather than self-serve, so there is no card-and-go switch. The quote conversation usually comes back within one business day, and the rollout pace is set with you from there.
What can we see once it is live?
Every conversation, the resolution rate and the callbacks, from the live console. The audit trail records each action Sky takes, so the numbers you watch are the real ones.
